Moonbeam The Horse

How a Moonbeam changed my world?

I am frequently asked how I started working with the wonderful Bach Flower remedies and I hope that the story below helps to shine a bright light on how it all started.

Meeting Moonbeam

Moonbeam came into our lives back in 1997 and he was the epicentre of my daughter’s world. We met him a local riding school and for 2 years my daughter looked after him, and when we were given the chance to buy him – naturally we said yes! Moonbeam is the pony in the picture the dearly loved and much-missed pony who sadly left us July 2017 at the age of 43. Thanks to him and his feisty behaviour and a desire to help my daughter be able to handle him I found Bach Flower remedies.

The problem with Moonbeam

Moonbeam would, quite literally gallop from the gate when taking him to the field in the morning – taking the headcollar and lead rope with him some days and was generally not very respectful of the lead rope. We tried everything we could, I spoke to healers, equine behaviourists, even Monty Roberts – he improved the situation, but the fear was still there. Eventually I was guided to a lady in the village where we lived to get him some Bach Flower remedies – I spent an hour with lady describing Moonbeam and his idiosyncrasies – she gave me a little brown bottle and with instructions to give them to him 3 times a day and it should help.

What happened

Three days later the behaviour totally stopped and whilst we continued with the treatment for the next 4 weeks – he never repeated the behaviour again – we had eased his fears and panic and the pony was then just a delight.  It sounds almost too good to be true and I was quite sceptical at first but he behaved with my daughter and myself and also with hubby – who is actually not confident with horses at all.

He was totally transformed – the fear and panic had gone – the beautiful pony was there with his loving character.  He was still sparky to ride but being part Arab in breed that was to be expected.

People often ask about placebo effect – well, when dealing with children and animals it is very difficult to put this label in place.  There was no placebo cos he didn’t know what he was getting!!!

What happened afterwards

Following this, I then used the remedies to help our rescue dog and various family members and all with amazing results – I would add that I was not prescribing at the time.

I had however started my journey into the world of Holistic therapies and was by now a Reflexologist and Indian Head Massage therapist and had taken my Level 1 and 2 Reiki qualifications.

Having discovered the wonders of these amazing Bach Flower Remedies, I wanted to tell the world what an amazing thing this was and how they had totally transformed our lives.  I studied and took my exams and became a practitioner in 2013.

I worked with my holistic therapies and the Bach Flower Remedies part-time, in line with a full-time job in the corporate world. It was good but I always wanted to expand my holistic therapy practice but never had either the time or the financial ability to do this.

How did we end up here?

When I was furloughed due to Covid-19 in April 2020 it gave me the opportunity to bring the little flower remedies totally to the world and my one aim was to tell everyone all about the remedies and what they can do for each and every one of us and our pets as well.  Since then I have worked with people from all walks of life and been able to demonstrate to them how these gorgeous flower essences can be so beneficial to us all in our everyday lives.

Follow my page on Facebook and this website to learn about the different remedies and what they can do to help you.o
