How tired are you?
Are you dutiful and reliable, no matter what the costs? Do you overwork yourself and then feel fed up afterwards? Do you have a huge sense of duty? At the end of a long day at work do you then continue to push yourself at home and not allow yourself to rest.I am looking this week at the Oak remedy – for those suffering from exhaustion but struggling on.
Even with Resilience there is always a breaking point, do you recognise yours?
To quote Dr Edward Bach’s Insights the Oak type “they are brave people fighting against great difficulties, without loss of hope or effort.” Oak individuals possess a remarkable strength of will and determination. They are always ready to lend a helping hand to everyone around them, they say if you want something done ask a busy person. They strive against all odds, to achieve and complete all their responsibilities and often in a very tenacious way.
How do you manage to rest – apart from going to bed – when you have so much to do?
We need to learn to rest, it is physically impossible for us to keep going, a continuous struggle to get through will sadly only result in burnout and exhaustion and a collapse of everything. Ultimately, we need to give our bodies a chance to rest.
When we are exhausted, we are actually no use to anyone, and everyone will suffer in this situation. You will feel guilty as you are incapacitated and unwell and this won’t help you.
There is huge need to give our bodies a chance to safe our resources, our strengths and our health. The Oak remedy is the remedy to help in this situation. It enables you to rest without guilt or pain.
The Oak remedy can alleviate the inner pressure, allowing energies to flow more freely and breathe new life into your body and heart. In the process of finding a balance, you are able fulfil your commitments without exhausting yourself.
How can I help my exhaustion naturally?
Some self-discipline is required, if you can accept the fact that you are only human, and that a rest can only be good for you, then gradually you will learn to slow down.
It doesn’t need to be a permanent situation but just ease time for relaxation and rest into your day.
You can also try taking Magnesium to help, and Omega 3 may also help.
The Oak Bach Flower remedy has proved useful for patients recovering from long term illnesses, in situations where the patients will also grow tired of continued treatments such as physical therapy. The Oak will provide new momentum and power to persevered in a more relaxed way.

What do my clients feel about the Oak remedy?
“The Oak remedy that Ros gave me enabled me to stop and rest without feeling as if I had the weight of the world on my shoulders, only then could I really start to relax” – part of a testimonial from a client.
This client benefitted hugely from the remedy and is still living a life of being kind to herself.

An interesting fact about the Oak tree, they are so highly resistant that they can survive in places where the earth’s radiation is of such intensity that other trees for example the Beech will die.
Also, apparently, they attract lightning and there is a German saying “when in a thunderstorm, seek the beech tree for shelter and avoid the Oak.”
Will the Oak remedy remove the exhaustion?
When you take the Oak remedy, you will soon find that your inner pressure will reduce and allow your energy to flow more freely and easily, this will be a refreshing change for your body.
By learning to rest when you need to and not pushing your body, you will find that you can still do all the work that you need to do.
Interestingly it has been proved that the Oak remedy is useful for patients recovering from long term illnesses, in situations where the patients will also grow tired of continued treatments such as physical therapy. Here the remedy changes the way they think and enables to continue their therapy in a more relaxed way.
