How Dr Bach can help with developmental stages for children
Children tend to have two aspects of play – active and passive and babies and your children are mostly involved in active lay where as the older child will look more towards the passive phase. Environmental factors will also play a huge part in a child’s development – if parents are active and outgoing and enjoy walking and outdoor sports the children will invariably follow – if parents are happy to watch television and read or listen to music again children will take that lead.
All the remedies for children are preserved in glycerine so there is no alcohol present.
How we can start
The developmental stages of play can also tell us much about a child is feeling and what they feeling but unable to express. A really good way to see this is often through drawing or painting as well as by behaviour.
I have listed below some remedies which are often very useful in helping a child to manage their emotions when they do not have the vocabulary to explain precisely how they feel.
Suggested remedies
Agrimony is a very well used remedy for young children who hide their anxieties and fears and who may only show in drawing. They are often withdrawn.https://www.bachcentre.com/en/remedies/the-38-remedies/agrimony/
Centaury children are typically timid and find it hard to stand up for themselves, they often become dominated by the strength of others.
If your child has experienced unpleasant things like the death of a family member or witnessed something violent then I would use Honeysuckle to help release the sad and unpleasant memories and also use Star of Bethlehem to help with the release of the trauma and ease the shock and sorrow.

A common trait of children is to constantly ask for approval from a peer or Mum or Dad and to need reassurance – in this situation I would use the remedy Cerato – to give the child the confidence to make their own decisions and have faith in his own mind.https://www.bachcentre.com/en/remedies/the-38-remedies/cerato/
For the little person who is undecided about any given choice and spends time pondering on what to choose then maybe Scleranthus would help to make him more decisive.
Wild Rose is a good one to help with a child who lacks enthusiasm for anything, and Hornbeam is good if weariness if a tendency.
Gentian is good to help with focus and to help the little one to finish a puzzle or draw a picture and finish it.
Where attention spam is a problem and frustration tends to develop easily then welcome to Impatiens this remedy is there to create patience and allow them to slow down. Clematis on the other hand encourages those who become board easily and tend to daydream. https://www.bachcentre.com/en/remedies/the-38-remedies/clematis/

Vervain can help with the over-enthusiastic child who becomes easily frustrated and Vine can help the little person who tends to play aggressively, it can easily help to tone down the aggression and frustration.
If by chance your child is worried by tidiness and making sure everything is just so then Crab Apple is a great benefit here and the Rock water is for the perfectionists who will always want to set an example to a younger sibling etc.
Holly is the best remedy to help your child if they get angry or in a temper with their toys and breaks things if they do not like them. https://www.bachcentre.com/en/remedies/the-38-remedies/holly/
Cherry plum will also help the child who loses control throws things and becomes easily uncontrollable.

These are just a few of the different remedies which are available in the Glycerine selection – all of which are very appropriate for our little ones and can benefit them hugely.
I would love to chat with you about how the remedies could help your child.
