Loneliness – The Seven Bach Flower Remedy Emotional Groups

When Dr Bach put the remedies together he divided them into 7 specific groups and one by one I would like to look at them and see how relevant they may be to you in your current world.

Very often it is our own actions that can lead to a feeling of isolation.  We may be remote, needy or thoughtless in how we act towards others and these behaviours and attitudes can create a feeling of isolation that you may find puzzling.  These remedies may be helpful to ease this situation.

  1. Heather – the remedy to help us stop talking about ourselves sometimes we are so preoccupied with our inner selves that we forget that other people have feelings and emotions as well, they also need to talk too.  The positives of Heather is that it will provide you with the ability to show love and empathy to others and enable you to listen to them too
  2. Impatiens – often an attitude of impatience can lead us to display a feeling of intolerance and lack of understanding. It can lead to us being quick-tempered and irritable. These are not nice emotions to display and can often deter people from wanting to socialise with you.  Impatiens as a remedy will give you a gift of patience and understanding, learning to work with others at their own pace.
  3. Water Violet – this is a complicated emotion to appease – the person who is a loner and who begins to stand aloof and away from others but while inside they are longing for friends and relationships, they are naturally independent but equally wanting friends.  This remedy will soften them to be able to enjoy relationships and feel able to reach out to others if needed and learn to be gracious in their behaviour too.
